Arriving in Ireland today, a private transfer will pick you up from the airport and whisk you into the city to your boutique hotel in the city centre.
Head out in the afternoon to enjoy a walking tour with a local private guide through this vibrant capital city, with its mix of 1,000 years of architecture from the mediaeval to Georgian to modern. See the Georgian style Merrion Square, lush St. Stephen’s Green and Fitzwilliam Square, as well as O’Connell Street, the site of the ‘1916 Uprising’ that led to Ireland’s independence in 1922. Your guide is also a historian who will bring the city to life with colourful tales of life in the city in times gone by.

Meeting your guide this morning, you will depart the hustle and bustle of the city for pastures green. First stop is the imposing Rock of Cashel. Set on a dramatic outcrop of limestone in the Golden Vale, the Rock of Cashel, iconic in its historic significance, possesses the most impressive cluster of mediaeval buildings in Ireland. Among the monuments to be found there is a round tower, a high cross, a Romanesque chapel, a Gothic cathedral, an abbey, the Hall of the Vicars Choral and a fifteenth-century Tower House.
Your final destination this evening is the picturesque town of Kenmare in the heart of Kerry. where you will relax and enjoy a delicious locally sourced dinner in the town accompanied by your guide.

On the southern shores of the Iveragh peninsula you will meet one of our favourite characters. A fisherman, foraging expert, storyteller and a true Irish gent, John will take you on a wander along the shoreline learning about life on Ireland’s west coast all the while regaling you with tales of characters from the region, from lonely monks to 18th century civil rights activists to mythical heroes.
Back in Kenmare we visit Molly’s Cottage, a time warp to life in Ireland in olden times where families worked the land and lived in traditional stone cottages. Here you will help bake and enjoy sampling traditional Irish soda bread made with real Kerry butter, fresh from the churn.

Killarney National Park is the jewel in Kerry’s crown and right on your doorstep, ready for a full day exploring today. Board a boat with Dux and his canine friend and cruise the tranquil lakes of Killarney with one of the most spectacular backdrops imaginable as you are overlooked by Ireland’s highest mountain peaks.
There are so may experiences on offer including a hike to Torc Waterfall, tour of historical Muckross House and Gardens, time spent browsing the local craft shops in lively Killarney town, people watch with coffee and cake a more challenging afternoon hike with your guide.

Leaving Kerry behind you today you will head north into Co Clare. The Burren National Park was designated a UNESCO site due to its unique other-worldly limestone landscape containing a fascinating mix of unusual flora, fauna, geology and ancient archeology alongside the thriving farming communities.
Our first stop today is a visit to see some captivating collies at work demonstrating their herding skills against the backdrop of a 1,000 year old fort on a traditional working farm before we make our way to the coast, to Ireland’s famed Cliffs of Moher. Enjoy the sights that await you at the jaw-dropping Cliffs of Moher, which fall some 700 feet to the crashing Atlantic Ocean below.
This evening check into the boutique hotel in the small hamlet of Doolin where live traditional Irish music can be found in some of the local pubs.

Ferrying out to The Aran Islands, a group of three distinctive, wild and remote isles that once held a position of great trading power in ancient Ireland. Now a bastion of traditional language, culture and music, they are as interesting as they are beautiful. Inis Mór (the largest of the three) is home to a prehistoric semi-circular stone fort and is best explored by bicycle. Once on the island you and your guide will rent local bikes for a day of exploration, your guide will introduce you to the most popular sights as well as the off-the-beaten path hidden gems!

Our final destination is the wild and remote Connemara region of Galway only an hour and a half from the city and a step back in time. Taking the coastal route with your guide stopping in small villages and hamlets there are pristine white sandy beaches, coral strands, quaint village and traditional harbours to explore before stopping in the little village of Clifden in the Gaeltacht ( Irish Speaking) region of Connemara.

Connemara is an exceptional region with wild open plains surrounded by mountains and hills all waiting for you to explore. Described by Oscar Wilde as a “savage beauty”, the heather clad, windswept hills of the Connemara landscape beckon you today. Take a hike in the park with your guide, the views from the top of Diamond Hill’s glittering quartzite summit are worth the effort for sure before exploring the nearby by Kylemore Abbey, a haven of history, beauty and serenity and home to a Benedictine order of Nuns for the past 100 years.
Your guide will join you for dinner this evening in Clifden to toast your final night together and the end to your Irish adventure.
