Day 1 - Thursday 14th August - Blarney Castle and Gardens

Arriving from an early morning flight into Cork, collect your rental car and make your way to the magnificent Blarney Castle and Stone. Set within over 60 acres of lush gardens, this medieval stronghold offers more than just history—it promises magic. Kiss the stone to gain the “gift of eloquence,” wander through the enchanted Rock Close, and explore the mysterious Poison Garden, where folklore and botany intertwine. From towering battlements to tranquil woodland walks, Blarney Castle is a captivating blend of myth, nature, and Irish charm.

Continue you on to the Kingdom of Kerry, otherwise known as Killarney. Killarney is one of Ireland’s most beloved and scenic destinations. Surrounded by lakes, mountains, and ancient woodlands, this charming town is the gateway to the iconic Ring of Kerry and the stunning Killarney National Park.

Day 2 - Friday 15th August - The Iveragh Peninsula

This morning, set off on an unforgettable journey around the iconic Ring of Kerry. As you travel through soaring mountains, sweeping coastlines, and ancient woodlands, immerse yourself in the raw beauty of Ireland’s untamed southwest. Along the way, connect with a local forager who’ll share their deep knowledge of the land. Discover the wild herbs, edible plants, and natural wonders that have sustained communities here for centuries. It’s a hands-on exploration of Ireland’s botanical heritage, rooted in tradition and shaped by the elements.

Day 3 - Saturday 16th August - Coastal Clare

Leaving County Kerry behind, keep an eye out for dolphins and other marine wildlife as you cross the mouth of the mighty River Shannon. As you travel north through North Kerry, we’ll recommend a scenic beach walk along one of Kerry’s best-kept secret coastlines, plus a few hidden gems to make it a relaxed and memorable day. Along the way, enjoy optional stop-offs at historic castles, perfect for stretching your legs and snapping some striking photos. You’ll also have the chance to capture that picture-perfect Irish moment—rolling green fields dotted with sheep, set against a backdrop of timeless countryside.

Day 4 - Sunday 17th August - The Cliffs of Moher

Today meet Cormac, a local who will lead you on a walk along Ireland’s famed Cliffs of Moher, part of the UNESCO Global Geopark. Visually stunning, the Cliffs stand at 702 ft at their highest point and stretch for 5 miles along the Atlantic coast. Cormac is passionate about the history, geology and heritage of this area and holds a wealth of knowledge on the surrounding landscape. Take in the views, stop by the visitor centre, and take the opportunity to snap some breathtaking photos.

Day 5 - Monday 18th August - Galway City

Galway is the capital of Ireland’s west. Known as the ‘town of the tribes’ the small centre of cobblestone streets and colourful store fronts is vibrant, fun and cosmopolitan. A local military historian will meet you at the city’s main square to guide you through the bustling alleys sharing Galway City’s important roles in the clash of the French, Spanish, Russian and British Empires from 1700 to 1922, including in Ireland’s revolution for independence.

Check into your hotel this evening, nestled in the charming village of Clifden—the heart of Connemara. Surrounded by rolling hills, rugged coastline, and sweeping views of the Twelve Bens mountains, Clifden is a lively yet laid-back town known for its friendly atmosphere, traditional Irish music, and excellent food.

Day 6 - Tuesday 19th August - Stories & Sheepdogs

We take a drive through the windswept Twelve Bens Mountain Range to Killary, Ireland’s only fjord where we visit a local sheep farm for a private sheepdog demo in this wild and remote landscape. watch the magnificent and intelligent collies work the sheep from mountainside to pen with only the calls and commands of its owner to follow.

Enjoy some tea and cake with Tom the farmer and chat about rural life in Ireland.

Later this afternoon, you’ll have a chance to unwind and take a leisurely stroll in the nearby town. Enjoy all that the quaint village of Clifden has to offer, such as charming local shops, lively traditional pubs, and scenic coastal views.

Day 7 - Wednesday 20th August - Exploring Dublin

Make your way from Clifden this morning and head back to Dublin for around mid-day. Drop your rental car and the rest of the day offers time to explore at a relaxed pace. Dublin reveals itself best on foot or via the LUAS, the city’s light rail system. Many key sites lie within easy reach, with the real charm found in the quiet moments between them – wandering cobbled lanes, browsing independent bookshops, or pausing for a pub lunch. The afternoon is ideal for taking in a few of the capital’s cultural landmarks.

Day 8 - Thursday 21st August - Depart
