Day by Day

Day 1 - Saturday 25th May - Welcome To Scotland

Arrive into Edinburgh Airport where you will be met by a private driver and transferred to your city centre hotel. Depending on your arrival time you may wish to head out and explore the festival ambience of the city a little or you can choose to relax in your welcoming hotel.

Day 2 - Sunday 26th May - Explore Historic & Foodie Edinburgh

This morning you will be met at your hotel by an expert local guide and head out to explore the historic cobbled streets of the Old Town with an expert local guide. Discover some delicious foodie delights, see some of the key attractions and hear the stories of days gone by in this unique capital city.

Day 3 - Monday 27th May - Meet Your Guide & Head North via St Andrews

This morning your private guide (who will also act as your driver) will meet you at your hotel, and together you will head to St Andrews as the first stage on your journey north. Discover the fascinating history of this historic university town. More recently the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge famously met during their studies here but St Andrews is much better known for being ‘the birthplace of golf’. You will then continue on to your castle hotel at Pitlochry where you can settle in and enjoy the views out of the loch.

Day 4 - Tuesday 28th May - Chocolate Tasting & North to Torridon

Enjoy a wonderfully indulgent private tasting with a Chocolate Master this morning, and savour the award-winning treats melting in your mouths. As your journey takes you even further north your guide will share tales of the local life as the landscape becomes more mountainous. Hopefully you will have time to stop in a traditional whisky distillery for a tour and tasting along the way.

Day 5 - Wednesday 29th May - West Coast Wonders

Today you have a full day exploring the gorgeous and unique West Coast landscape. Maybe visiting the tiny and enchanting village of Applecross or heading north to the fascinating Inverewe or Attadale Gardens. The choice is your and your private guide will discuss the best options to suit your interests and energy levels.

Day 6 - Thursday 30th May - Transfer To Fort William Via Isle of Skye & 'Road To The Isles'

A longer driving day today, but the views are more than worth it! Your route heads onto the Isle of Skye to give you a flavour of this beautiful island. A short diversion will take you to the iconic Eilean Donan Castle before you make your way down to Armadale Castle gardens, where the bluebells may be out to greet you. After taking the short ferry back to the mainland from here, you’ll travel along the stunning Road to the Isles, this is frequently listed as one of the most beautiful drives in the world and it is easy to see why. This takes you past the silver sand beaches of Arisaig and then Glenfinnan Viaduct, which you may well recognise from the Harry Potter films. Stop to hear the Jacobite history of this area before you head onwards to your beautiful hotel.

Day 7 - Friday 31st May - Explore Lochaber

Your luxurious castle hotel has a wonderful situation in the foothills of some of the highest mountains in Scotland, so there are endless options for fabulous scenic hikes with your guide. Or you could head north to the shores of infamous Loch Ness to check the waters for the monster yourselves. The choice is yours!

Day 8 - Saturday 1st June - Transfer South Via Glencoe

Heading south with your guide today, your route takes you through the atmospheric valley of Glencoe. You may well recognise these soaring mountain ridges from various films and famous TV series. Stop to take a hike here as you hear the legends and stories of this place from your guide. Then continue onwards to your luxurious hotel on the shores of Loch Lomond.

Day 9 - Sunday 2nd June - Inspiring Glasgow

Today is your last day with your guide today, and you can choose if you would like to stay in the countryside with a boat trip on Loch Lomond. Or head into the centre of Glasgow to take in the highlights of the city, full or architectural inspirations, history and vibrant street art. At the end of today your guide will bid you farewell, leaving you to celebrate your final evening in Scotland, maybe raising a glass to your adventures.
