Day by Day

Day 1 - Sunday 18th May - Welcome to Scotland

On arrival at Glasgow airport you will be met by a private driver who will transfer you to your city centre hotel. Depending on your arrival time you can choose to relax at the hotel or head out to start exploring this unique city.

Day 2 - Monday 19th May - Private Walking Tour and Heritage Centre

Today, discover the highlights of the city on a private walking tour with an expert local guide. Hear the stories intertwined with the varied architecture of streets, that have been home to all kinds of creatives over the years. See the influences of Charles Rennie MackIntosh and admire the popular contemporary graffiti murals tucked into unexpected corners all over the city. 

Later, visit the Scottish Jewish Heritage Centre for a guided tour of this beautiful building and learn of the contributions the community have made throughout Scotland’s past.

Day 3 - Tuesday 20th May - Explore Edinburgh

A private transfer will collect you from your hotel today to travel to Edinburgh. Drop your luggage at your hotel before meeting an expert city guide, to provide you insight into the tales and history of this charming city. Discover the true character of the Old Town and some of the lesser known sites.

Later your guide will take you out of the city to the enigma that is Rosslyn Chapel, made famous by The Da Vinci Code. Originally founded in 1446, the chapel features intricate carvings and decorations which have prompted many different theories connected with the Knights Templar and the Freemasons amongst others.

This evening head to the famous Princes Street to enjoy an immersive journey through the history and craftsmanship of whisky and perhaps watch the sunset, taking in the views over the city from an iconic rooftop terrace.

Day 4 - Wednesday 21st May - Travel to St Andrews

After a hearty breakfast, meet your guide who will be with you for the next few days. Make your way to the Fife coast and the historic town of St Andrews, where your guide will lead you on a tour to explore the past. This town is known for its rich history. From Castle ruins to the Cathedral, while also being home to the oldest University in Scotland, dating back to 1413. Explore the cobbled streets and perhaps stroll by the world famous golf course.

Day 5 - Thursday 22nd May - The Fife Coast & Tasting Delights

This morning, explore part of the Fife Coastal Trail with your guide. Your walk today will take you along the “Fringe Of Gold”, as the Fife beaches are known, and through traditional villages which are built around tiny picturesque fishing harbours. Later it is time to journey with your guide to a family run farm, where a bespoke lunch awaits. Meet your private chef who will create a culinary delight, showcasing local and seasonal Scottish produce, finished off with a dram or two of whisky.

Day 6 - Friday 23rd May - Travel to the Cairngorms

Today, meet your guide and to travel north to the Highlands. Stop off in the village of Blair Atholl and tour Blair Castle. The castle is known to be home to the Atholl Highlanders, Europe’s last private army. Take a walk through the hallways and grounds to discover the past 750 years of local history. Later, enjoy a short walk in the local woodlands before continuing on to your accommodation in the Cairngorms National Park.

Day 7 - Saturday 24th May - Photography and Hiking

Morning Photography session with a local expert. Catch the early morning light over the tranquil Loch, you will be spoilt for choice of where to set up your camera. Retire to the local cafe for coffee and maybe one of their famous scones!

Later in the day take a hike in Glen Feshie and immerse yourself in the beauty that surrounds you; from the pine forests, to the mountainous backdrop and the river flowing through, it is a delight for all the senses.

Day 8 - Sunday 25th May - Hike the Cairngorms & Travel to Inverness

Today explore the higher peaks on a guided hike. The route options can be discussed with your guide, allowing you to explore the natural beauty of this area. Later, your guide will take you to your self-arranged accommodation in Inverness for you to continue your adventures!
