On arrival at the airport you will be met by a private driver who will transfer you to your city centre hotel. Depending on your arrival time you can choose to relax at the hotel or head out to start exploring this unique city.

This morning immerse yourselves in the winding cobbled streets of historic Old Town Edinburgh, as you enjoy a private walking tour with an expert local guide. Discover the highlights of this unique capital city from the Palace of Holyroodhouse all the way up the ‘Royal Mile’ to the mighty ancient fortress which is Edinburgh Castle itself. Walk the ramparts atop castle rock and hear the tales of the One O’Clock gun and the stories of locals of times past. Your guide will leave you here so that you can spend as much time in the castle as you wish. You then have a free afternoon to continue explorations at your own pace, pick up souvenirs or relax as you prefer.

After breakfast, commence your self drive journey to the Cairngorms National Park. Embrace the scenic drive, absorbing the breathtaking landscapes en route. Meet your guide for a picturesque walk amidst the stunning countryside. Later, travel on to your accommodation to settle in and relax before your adventures ahead in the Cairngorms.

Take to two wheels this morning on a mountain bike ride through the pine forests of Rothiemurchus. Discover the shimmering lochs and mountain vistas as you pedal your way along the trails. The exact route for today will be discussed with your guide to offer options for a more challenging or leisurely cycle depending on the groups preferences. Later, it is time to take to the water to explore a secluded gorge. Gorge walking is a mix of rock scrambling and white water fun with plunge pools and natural slides. You will meet your local expert to spend time working your way up the river, jumping off ledges, swimming down streams and having lots of fun in the water.

Today, enjoy a short walk around the secluded forests and trails of the Uath Lochans with great views of the surrounding mountains and native pine forests. Later in the day, head to a unique outdoor workshop in a woodland glade, where you will meet a local craftsman. Learn how he creates his beautiful unique carved pieces out of local Scottish wood and you can then have a shot at creating a special wee souvenir yourself.

Leave the Cairngorms behind as you journey south to the rollin hills of Perthshire. Reach the river side and your start point for today’s exhilarating White Water Rafting experience. Meet your local instructor who will keep you in safe hands as you are briefed and kitted up before taking to the waters. Paddle your way downstream through the wave trains and following the meanders of the river, be ready to feel a splash or two of the fresh Scottish water. After this adventurous time on the water it is your choice if you would like to take a short hike or perhaps warm up with a little hot chocolate from a local specialist.

Make your way to the Glenturret Distillery today, which prides itself on being the oldest working distillery in Scotland. Enjoy a fascinating tour before a unique experience in the michelin starred Lalique Restaurant. It is then time to stroll through the luscious greenery of the impressive formal gardens of Drummond Castle. Dating back to the 17th century, the gardens have seen many changes over the years, have time here as you wish.

Today travel to a nearby Loch and take to the waters by canoe to explore your wonderful surroundings. Your expert guide will teach you the basics for a fun and enchanting loch journey. Returning to shore, you may choose to visit Menzie Castle, seat to the Clan Menzies for over 500 years. If preferred, simply have time at your hotel to relax and make the most of your final trip evening together.
