Overview

This family adventure will see you finding some of the best fun in Scotland and enjoying it all together. Create special memories as you explore with expert guides and immerse yourselves in fun experiences. At the end of each day your luxurious hotels will ensure you are rested and pampered.

Day by Day

Day 1 - Sunday 7th July - Welcome To Scotland!

On arrival at Edinburgh airport you will be met by private drivers who will transfer you to your city centre hotel to drop your bags. The drivers will then take you to the neighbourhood of Leith, where you will be met by a private local guide for a foodie exploration of the local neighbourhood. Afterwards your guide will depart, leaving you to take your time exploring the opulent floating palace that is The Royal Yacht Britannia. The rest of the day is free for you to spend as you wish.

Note: Check In time will not be until 3pm

This itinerary requires an early-to-mid morning arrival in Edinburgh Airport. Later arrival time will mean that the itinerary will need to be reviewed.

The Foodie Tour serves in place of lunch.

Day 2 - Monday 8th July - Magical Edinburgh

This morning you will be met at your hotel by a local expert city guide who will lead you on a private walking exploration in the historic Old Town where cars can’t reach. Discover the traces of magic that linger in all the cobbled streets and alleys and hear the stories and see the places where the Harry Potter books came to life as you discover hidden corners of this city.

Your guide will keep the distance covered short and you will finish in the mighty Edinburgh Castle itself. Walk the ramparts atop castle rock and hear the tales of the One O’Clock gun and the stories of locals of times past. Your guide will leave you here so that you can spend as much time in the castle as you wish. You then have a free afternoon to continue your explorations at your own pace, pick up souvenirs or relax as you prefer.

Day 3 - Tuesday 9th July - Meet Your Private Guide & Head North via Alpaca Experience

This morning your Private Guide (who will also act as your driver) will meet you at your hotel and together you will head north towards the Highlands. Stop in the Kingdom of Fife on route to meet some of the cutest Alpacas in the country. Maybe even try out the mini obstacle course with them!

As you then travel further north there are many options for gentle strolls taking in the beautiful scenery, which your guide will bring to life for you as you travel. So maybe discover a special beauty spot, visit an Tall Ship which explored Antarctica, or save some time to explore the charming village of Braemar before settling into your unique Highland hotel.

Day 4 - Wednesday 10th July - Exploring The Cairngorms National Park

This morning visit beautiful Balmoral Castle, the Highland residence of the Royal Family since it was bought for Queen Victoria in 1852. Full of elegant history in a beautiful mountain setting. Your guide will share some of the highlights of this area before you enjoy a different afternoon activity. There are many choices to decide between; maybe relaxing in the Spa OR enjoy an off-road exploration with an Estate Ghillie on rough tracks in beautiful scenery.

Day 5 - Thursday 11th July - Steamboat Ride in Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park

Transfer West to Cameron House, enjoying the changing scenery as you explore with your guide on route. Step back in time with a steamship cruise as you glide along admiring the mountains of the National Park reflected on the waters of the gorgeous mountain loch. Your luxurious resort hotel will offer you a warm welcome on arrival

Day 6 - Friday 12th July - Falconry & Glasgow Highlights

This morning admire the some fierce raptors and incredible owls at the local falconry centre. The ‘sport of kings’ dates back thousands of years and would astound you with the elegance of flight and the accuracy displayed. Then your guide will take you into Glasgow to hit the highlights and get a sense of this cultural city with a expert local city guide. See some of the varied street art right next to Mackintosh architecture and an energetic vibe. Late afternoon your main guide will take you back to your hotel to enjoy a relaxing final evening in Scotland.

Day 7 - Saturday 13th July - Depart

A private transfer will collect you from your accommodation and take you to Glasgow airport to make your onward connections. Waving farewell for now but taking with you special memories and wonderful stories of your explorations.
