Day by Day

Day 1 - Monday 1st July - Welcome to London

On arrival in London, a private driver will take you to your centrally located hotel once your VIP welcome services have whisked you through the airport. Depending on your arrival time you can drop your bags and head out to start exploring, or check in and relax.

An unmissable destination for travellers, London is an international melting pot that brims with culture, history and iconic landmarks. With a well-known and well-deserved reputation for an eclectic and globally diverse food scene, your dinner this evening is sure to be a thoroughly enjoyable affair. Later, draw the curtains on the twinkling lights of the city to enjoy a good night’s sleep ahead of an exciting day of exploring tomorrow.

Day 2 - Tuesday 2nd July - Highlights Of London City

After breakfast, head out to explore the city.  Step into classic mini coopers with your true born and bred local tour guides who will whisk you through the city and point out sights only known to those who live here.  Negotiate the famous traffic jams of London with ease as you pass Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square and perhaps stop to watch the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace – with all the pomp and pageantry that is associated with the British Royal Family.  After a whistle stop tour of the Highlights of London, the rest of the day is free for you to explore at your own pace, perhaps indulge in some retail therapy or simply relax at the hotel.

Tonight you will finish your day with a ride on the London Eye – watching the sun set over the city and the places you have been visiting.  A great way to get a sense of your explorations before heading our for dinner or retiring for the night.

Day 3 - Wednesday 3rd July - World of History and Science

This morning, meet your private city guide and embark on a journey through time and discovery at the Natural History Museum. Wander beneath the colossal skeleton of a diplodocus in the grand entrance hall, marvel at the intricate beauty of gemstones in the mineral gallery, and delve into the mysteries of the Earth’s evolution through captivating exhibits.

After immersing yourself in the awe-inspiring exhibits, be treated to a science-themed afternoon tea at the Ampersand Hotel. Delectable treats are served with a whimsical twist where you’ll indulge in delights inspired by the periodic table, DNA helixes, and celestial bodies, accompanied by a selection of fine teas.

Continue your exploration of wonders with an afternoon at the Science Museum. Engage your curiosity as you journey through the realms of technology, space exploration, and innovation, with interactive exhibits that inspire wonder and discovery at every turn. From the history of flight to the frontiers of artificial intelligence, immerse yourself in the fascinating world of science before bidding farewell to a day filled with exploration, learning, and delightful indulgence.

Day 4 - Thursday 4th July - Underground London

Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of the London Underground today. Hear the legends of the trains and tunnels, and story behind the iconic underground map, as you visit the Museum of Transport. Then your expert local city guide will give you day travel passes so that you can experience the fun for yourselves as they guide you through the stations to your next destination. Here you will journey back in time and discover the unique tiny ‘mail rail’ train which zoomed parcels and letters under the streets for years.

This afternoon is free for you to relax or continue exploring using your travel passes. The choice is yours!

Day 5 - Friday 5th July - Free Day

You have the full day free to day to continue your explorations at your own pace, maybe using tips from your private guides of the last couple of days. Soak in the cosmopolitan street mix and enjoy the unique shopping opportunities.

Day 6 - Saturday 6th July - Welcome To Scotland!

A private driver will transfer you to London Heathrow to catch your flight north to Scotland this morning. On arrival at Edinburgh airport you will be met by private drivers who will transfer you to your city centre hotel to drop your bags. The drivers will then take you to the neighbourhood of Leith, where you will be met by a private local guide for a foodie exploration of the local neighbourhood. Afterwards your guide will depart, leaving you to take your time exploring the opulent floating palace that is The Royal Yacht Britannia. The rest of the day is free for you to spend as you wish.

Note: Check In time will not be until 3pm

This itinerary requires an early-to-mid morning arrival in Edinburgh Airport. Later arrival time will mean that the itinerary will need to be reviewed.

The Foodie Tour serves in place of lunch.

Day 7 - Sunday 7th July - Magical Edinburgh

This morning you will be met at your hotel by a local expert city guide who will lead you on a private walking exploration in the historic Old Town where cars can’t reach. Discover the traces of magic that linger in all the cobbled streets and alleys and hear the stories and see the places where the Harry Potter books came to life as you discover hidden corners of this city.

Your guide will keep the distance covered short and you will finish in the mighty Edinburgh Castle itself. Walk the ramparts atop castle rock and hear the tales of the One O’Clock gun and the stories of locals of times past. Your guide will leave you here so that you can spend as much time in the castle as you wish. You then have a free afternoon to continue your explorations at your own pace, pick up souvenirs or relax as you prefer.

Day 8 - Monday 8th July - Meet Your Private Guide & Head North via Alpaca Experience

This morning your Private Guide (who will also act as your driver) will meet you at your hotel and together you will head north towards the Highlands. Stop in the Kingdom of Fife on route to meet some of the cutest Alpacas in the country. Maybe even try out the mini obstacle course with them!

As you then travel further north there are many options for gentle strolls taking in the beautiful scenery, which your guide will bring to life for you as you travel. So maybe discover a special beauty spot, visit an Tall Ship which explored Antarctica, or save some time to explore the charming village of Braemar before settling into your unique Highland hotel.

Day 9 - Tuesday 9th July - Exploring The Cairngorms National Park

This morning visit beautiful Balmoral Castle, the Highland residence of the Royal Family since it was bought for Queen Victoria in 1852. Full of elegant history in a beautiful mountain setting. Your guide will share some of the highlights of this area before you enjoy a different afternoon activity. There are many choices to decide between; maybe relaxing in the Spa OR enjoy an off-road exploration with an Estate Ghillie on rough tracks in beautiful scenery.

Day 10 - Wednesday 10th July - Steamboat Ride in Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park

Transfer West to Cameron House, enjoying the changing scenery as you explore with your guide on route. Step back in time with a steamship cruise as you glide along admiring the mountains of the National Park reflected on the waters of the gorgeous mountain loch. Your luxurious resort hotel will offer you a warm welcome on arrival

Day 11 - Thursday 11th July - Falconry & Glasgow Highlights

This morning admire the some fierce raptors and incredible owls at the local falconry centre. The ‘sport of kings’ dates back thousands of years and would astound you with the elegance of flight and the accuracy displayed. Then your guide will take you into Glasgow to hit the highlights and get a sense of this cultural city with a expert local city guide. See some of the varied street art right next to Mackintosh architecture and an energetic vibe. Late afternoon your main guide will take you back to your hotel to enjoy a relaxing final evening in Scotland.
