Day 1 - Saturday 14th September - Welcome to Scotland

On arrival at the airport you will be met by a private driver who will transfer you to your city centre hotel. Depending on your arrival time you can choose to relax at the hotel or head out to start exploring this unique city.

Day 2 - Sunday 15th September - Exploring Edinburgh

This morning immerse yourselves in the winding cobbled streets of historic Old Town Edinburgh as you enjoy a private walking tour with an expert local guide. Discover the highlights of this unique capital city from the Palace of Holyroodhouse all the way up the ‘Royal Mile’ to the mighty ancient fortress which is Edinburgh Castle itself. Walk the ramparts atop castle rock and hear the tales of the One O’Clock gun and the stories of locals of times past. Your guide will leave you here so that you can spend as much time in the castle as you wish.

You then have a free afternoon to continue explorations at your own pace, pick up souvenirs or relax as you prefer.

This evening embark on a journey into the heart of whisky culture with a visit to the renowned Whisky Society. Step through the doors into a world of aged oak barrels, rich aromas, and expertly crafted spirits. Enjoy a delicious dinner and sample the wide range of whiskies on offer with the help of experts behind the bar.

Day 3 - Monday 16th September - Journey north to the Cairngorm National Park

After a hearty breakfast, meet your expert private guide who will also be your driver and commence your journey to the Cairngorms National Park. Along the way, stop at the inspiration behind Outlander’s fictional ‘Castle Leoch’, take a tour of Doune. This resolute 14th-century stronghold was used as Leoch’s exterior.

Next stop, a tour and tasting at Deanston Distillery, nestled along the picturesque River Teith in Deanston, a short distance from Stirling. Originally a cotton mill dating back to the 1700s, its historic setting adds to the allure. Fans of Outlander may recognise it as the backdrop for Jamie’s cousin’s wine warehouse in Season 2.

Embrace the onward scenic drive, absorbing the breathtaking landscapes en route to Breamar. On arrival into your accommodations you will have time to refresh and perhaps take a leisurely stroll and prepare for your adventures ahead in the Cairngorms.

Day 4 - Tuesday 17th September - Exploring Breamar & Whisky Tour

Embark on a beautiful morning hike, tracing the historical cairns erected by the Royal Family on the Balmoral Estate, offering stunning vistas over Deeside and the iconic Balmoral Castle itself. For lunch, indulge in a luxury picnic amidst breathtaking scenery. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon delving into the world of whisky with a Royal Lochnagar Expressions Tour at the distillery, immersing yourself in the rich heritage and exquisite flavours of this amazing Scottish spirit.

Day 5 - Wednesday 18th September - Balmoral & Explore Breamar

Begin your day with a regal visit to Balmoral Castle in the morning, where you’ll explore the grandeur of the Royal Family’s residence amidst the stunning Scottish landscape. This afternoon, enjoy a well earned rest, perhaps indulge in afternoon tea, explore the local village or your guide is on hand for guided walks for bike rides in the local area.

Day 6 - Thursday 19th September - Transfer to Culloden House

Leaving the Fife Arms this morning, take a journey to Culloden House, a storied estate with ties to Bonnie Prince Charlie, who once sought refuge here in the lead up to the Battle of Culloden. Today, it remains a cherished destination, beloved by Diana Gabaldon, the renowned creator of Outlander, when she visits the area.

Along the way you will drive through the heart of whisky country, accompanied by your knowledgeable guide. Stop at the Balvenie Distillery to taste their renowned whiskies before continuing on to Ballindalloch for more tastings, immersing yourself in the essence of Scotland’s whisky culture amidst picturesque surroundings. Arriving to your hotel, settle into your luxurious surrounding and enjoy dinner together.

Day 7 - Friday 20th September - Outlander Explorations

Embark on an unforgettable day exploring Outlander filming locations and inspirational around Inverness Shire with your knowledgeable guide from the iconic Culloden House. Begin your journey by visiting the haunting battlefield of Culloden, where the fate of Scotland was sealed and where Jamie Fraser fought for his clan’s survival. Next, journey to the mystical Clava Cairns, an ancient burial site surrounded by standing stones and steeped in history and folklore. Transport yourself back in time as you explore these sacred grounds, which served as inspiration for Craigh na Dun in the Outlander series. This evening, enjoy a cosy dinner and revel in the amazing adventures you have had today

Day 8 - Saturday 21st September - Loch Ness

This morning, your guide will take you on an exciting journey to explore the legendary Loch Ness, famed for its mysterious depths and the mythical creature said to inhabit its waters. Cruise along the tranquil surface, soaking in panoramic views of the surrounding Highlands while keeping a keen eye out for any signs of the elusive Nessie. Then, venture ashore to explore the majestic ruins of Urquhart Castle, perched dramatically on the loch’s edge, where centuries of Scottish history await to be discovered amidst breathtaking scenery.

Day 9 - Sunday 22nd September - Depart
