Day by Day
Day 1 - Friday 1st August - Welcome to Scotland! A Journey to Loch Lomond
Arriving in Scotland you will be welcomed by your friendly guide (who will also be your driver) and together you will journey to the bonny banks of Loch Lomond. Enroute you will step into the world of Outlander, visiting iconic filming locations. Wander through the picturesque cobbled streets of Culross, once a bustling port, and enjoy views over the glittering Firth. Enjoy chatting about all things Outlander as you explore the beautiful landscapes that helped bring the series to life. As your journey continues, explore Doune Castle which served as the exterior for Castle Leoch, the fictional home of the MacKenzie clan.
End your day with a relaxed evening at your luxury hotel overlooking the banks of Loch Lomond.

Then set out on the sparkling waters of Loch Lomond for a private boat cruise, weaving around some of its smaller islands while learning about the area’s history. Watch for local wildlife, including ospreys, red deer, and perhaps something more elusive.
If you still have energy this afternoon head out with your guide to explore Finnich Glen, with its mossy red sandstone walls and the dramatic Devil’s Pulpit you will feel like you are stepping into the mystical world of Outlander, where this spot famously served as a stand-in for the ancient druid site – Liar’s Spring.
*The walk to Finnich Glen is steep and requires sturdy footwear*

Day 3 - Sunday 3rd August - Hiking In Glencoe
Savour a leisurely breakfast before meeting your guide and heading North toward your next destination, with a scenic stop to explore the breathtaking landscapes of Glencoe along the way. Carved out centuries ago by glaciers and volcanic eruptions, this location offers some wild and scenic hiking. One great option is to hike along a narrow rowan-hung gorge until you reach the Lost Valley. This enclosed meadow – high, green, and hidden by precipitous tors, is said to be where the Macdonald clan used to conceal their rustled cattle. The hike offers a true sense of the rugged beauty and history of this iconic glen.
Arriving at your next accommodation, enjoy a relaxed evening enjoying views over Loch Shiel.

Today you’ll explore the stunning Road to the Isles. This is frequently listed as one of the most beautiful drives in the world and it is easy to see why. Admire the silver sand beaches of Arisaig and the views into the distance of Skye and the small isles. Your guide will share the tales of the local area as you go, making the landscape come alive with characters and events from the past.
You may wish to stop at the historic the Glenfinnan Viaduct, which you may well recognise from the Harry Potter films. Hear the tales of the Glenfinnan Monument and see if you can spot the Jacobite Steam Train puffing its way over the graceful arches of the viaduct.

A nearby wire bridge spans the water, though most prefer to admire it from solid ground! This evening relax at your boutique hotel at the foot of some of Scotland’s most stunning mountains.
Your guide will bid you farewell this evening.
