Wander through the Old Town’s hidden closes, soak in the lively atmosphere, and perhaps even uncover some local legends along the way. Then, journey north to the charming town of Pitlochry, where a rugged Land Rover tour will take you deep into the wilderness. After conquering the wild terrain, savour a tasting of Scotland’s finest whisky—warming your spirit with every sip.

The Highlands beckon next, with Glencoe’s dramatic peaks setting the stage for an unforgettable hike. As you explore this legendary landscape, hear tales of clans, battles, and ghosts that linger in the mist. Then, travel onward to the mysterious waters of Loch Ness—cruising across the deep, dark loch in search of its elusive resident. Your journey ends in Inverness, the gateway to the Highlands, where history, charm, and a final toast to adventure await.

Day by Day

Day 1 - Thursday 10th July - Welcome to Scotland

On arrival at the airport you will be met by a private driver who will transfer you to your city centre hotel. Depending on your arrival time you can choose to relax at the hotel and indulge in one of the many spa treatments offered at the hotel. Chat with the hotel concierge about what is available. This is the perfect way to relax after a long travel day.

Day 2 - Friday 11th July - Exploring Edinburgh

This morning immerse yourselves in the winding cobbled streets of historic Old Town Edinburgh as you enjoy a private walking tour with an expert local guide. Discover the highlights of this unique capital city from the Palace of Holyroodhouse all the way up the ‘Royal Mile’ to the mighty ancient fortress which is Edinburgh Castle itself. Walk the ramparts atop castle rock and hear the tales of the One O’Clock gun and the stories of locals of times past. Your guide will leave you here so that you can spend as much time in the castle as you wish.

You then have a free afternoon to continue explorations at your own pace, pick up souvenirs or relax as you prefer.

Day 3 - Saturday 12th July - Charming Highland Perthshire

This morning you will meet your experienced guide, who will also acts as your driver for the rest of your time in Scotland. Together you will transfer out of the city, towards one of Scotland’s most iconic landmarks, Stirling Castle. This impressive Castle stands tall above the city and is a symbol of national pride due to the significance it has through Scottish history. Enjoy some time walking around the castle and hearing tales of the past that help explain the history of this location.

From here, continue north towards the charming town of Pitlochry and your accommodation for the next few nights. Upon checking into your rooms, enquire at the front desk about some of the spa treatments that may be available to you.

Day 4 - Sunday 13th July - Morning Private 4x4 Safari & Afternoon Whisky Tasting

This morning you’ll head out on a fun private Land Rover safari. Explore private estate tracks to see what traditional gillies and estate managers drive every day. Keep your eyes open for the local wildlife, Red Deer, Mountain Hares and Eagles that are all to be found here. This is a great way to see some of the lesser explored area’s of Scotland!

This afternoon, spend some time exploring the charming town of Pitlochry and it’s quaint shops. This is a great opportunity to pick up some highland souvenirs followed by your final stop in Pitlochry at a local whisky connoisseurs shop for tutored whisky tasting* of 5 local drams. Learn about the processes and flavours that go into crafting this Scottish delicacy.

*The tutored tasting can be either Whisky or Gin

Day 5 - Monday 14th July - Journey to the Valley of Glencoe

This morning after breakfast, meet your guide in the foyer of the hotel and head out towards the next destination of your trip. Journey through the beautiful scenery alongside the stunning loch Tay, keeping an eye out for Scotlands 10th highest Munro (mountain), Ben Lawers, as it stands tall as the highest point of the ridge-line that frames the loch. There are plenty of options to stop off for a gentle hike or lowland walk before you arrive into the stunning valley of Glencoe, and continue on to your accommodation in the heart of the valley.

Day 6 - Tuesday 15th July - Hiking in Glencoe

Enjoy breakfast before meeting your guide and heading out to explore Glencoe. The spectacular Glencoe, carved out centuries ago by glaciers and volcanic eruptions, offers some wild and scenic hiking. One great option is to hike along a narrow rowan-hung gorge until you reach the Lost Valley. This enclosed meadow – high, green, and hidden by precipitous tors, is said to be where the Macdonald clan used to conceal their rustled cattle. Surrounded by jagged peaks that shift in and out of mountain mist, visit the Glencoe Center to learn about the landscape’s haunting history.

Other lowland walks are also available such as:

  • Signal Rock and An Torr – this 2.5km walk take you through woodland to the location, where the story and legend goes, that the signal was given to begin the Glencoe Massacre back in 1692
  • Glencoe Lochan Trails – this 2.5km walk takes you along the shores of the tranquil Lochan, providing you with a very different feel to the rugged out crops most often associated with Glencoe.

Chat with your guide about what you feel up to so they can recommend a walk to suit you.

This evening, head to a local tavern, sit back, and relax, as an experienced storyteller weaves their way through some of the local history and folklore. This is a great way to learn about some of Scotland’s storied history and cap off your time in Glencoe.

Day 7 - Wednesday 16th July - Loch Ness and the Capital of the Highlands

Today you bid farewell to the valley of Glencoe and continue on north towards the final destination of your trip. No visit to Scotland would be complete without a stop at it’s most famous body of water, Loch Ness. Said to be home to the mythical and legendary creature known as Nessie, you will head out onto the tranquil waters in search of clues, while taking in the sheer beauty of the location. You’ll be given information about Nessie and will be able to decide for yourselves if you believe in this great Scottish legend.

From here, you will continue on alongside the loch’s edge, before reaching your final destination of the trip, Inverness. Your guide will take you to your city centre hotel, before bidding their farewells as they depart, leaving you full of memories and experiences that will last a lifetime. Spend the evening relaxing at your hotel. or head out and explore some of the city and find somewhere to raise a glass and toast an unforgettable adventure.

Day 8 - Thursday 17th July - Depart
