Day by Day

Day 1 - Sunday 6th July - Welcome to Scotland

On arrival at the airport you will be met by a private driver who will transfer you to your hotel. Upon arrival, take time to relax after your flight before turning your hand to the art of falconry in the afternoon with an expert Falconer. This ‘sport of kings’ dates back thousands of years and will astound you with the beauty and accuracy displayed.

Day 2 - Monday 7th July - Highland Games

This morning your private driver-guide, who will be with you for the next stage of your trip, will meet you at your hotel. After getting to know each other, head out to enjoy a special day immersing yourself in true Scottish culture and tradition at the Strathmore Highland Games. The air is filled with the invigorating sounds of bagpipes and rhythmic pounding of drums, and the lively cheers of the crowd. As you watch the competitors in their kilts, showcasing feats of strength and agility, you become part of a centuries-old spectacle that celebrates heritage and camaraderie. The games are a sensory feast, with the aroma of traditional foods wafting through the air, colourful tartans adding a visual spectacle and the thrill of events like caber tossing and tug-of-war creating an electrifying atmosphere that you can’t help but be mesmerised by.

Day 3 - Tuesday 8th July - A Highland Safari

This morning, your private driver-guide will meet you at your hotel ready for a day of fun-filled adventure. Test your accuracy and feel the adrenalin with an axe-throwing session before stopping for lunch. This afternoon, head out on a fun private Landrover safari with a kilted Ranger. Keep your eyes open for the local wildlife, red deer, mountain hares, and eagles, which can all be found here. After an exhilarating day, head back to your hotel to relax.

Day 4 - Wednesday 9th July - Farm Tour

After meeting your guide at the hotel, your journey leads to a family-run farm rich in history and tradition. Enjoy a private guided tour of the farm, meeting the animals and learning how the land is nurtured. Afterwards, continue to your accommodation in Glencoe, where you can unwind and soak in the breathtaking surroundings before your next adventure tomorrow.

Day 5 - Thursday 10th July - A Day of Biking

This morning, your guide will meet you at your accommodation with mountain bikes ready for an exhilarating day of exploration in the Glencoe area. Set out on scenic trails that weave through rugged mountain landscapes, immersing yourself in some of Scotland’s most dramatic scenery. Following quiet off-road routes, enjoy the thrill of riding through this breathtaking wilderness.

Day 6 - Friday 11th July - Canoeing and Wooden Crafting

This morning, you head south with your guide, stopping en route to take to the sparkling waters of a beautiful loch in open canoes. Have fun exploring with your local paddling guide as you make your way to a lovely picnic spot to enjoy a well-earned lunch. Later, you’ll have the chance to meet a local craftsman and learn the art of wood carving, discovering the traditional techniques used to shape wood from the forest. Afterwards, head on to your next accommodation where you say goodbye to your guide, taking a moment to look back and reflect on the memories created together over the last few days.

Day 7 - Saturday 12th July - Exploring Edinburgh

This morning immerse yourselves in the winding cobbled streets of historic Old Town Edinburgh as you enjoy a private walking tour with an expert local guide. Discover the highlights of this unique capital city from the Palace of Holyroodhouse all the way up the ‘Royal Mile’ to the mighty ancient fortress which is Edinburgh Castle itself. Walk the ramparts atop castle rock and hear the tales of the One O’Clock gun and the stories of locals of times past. Your guide will leave you here so that you can spend as much time in the castle as you wish.

You then have some time to continue explorations at your own pace, pick up souvenirs or relax as you prefer. As the afternoon draws to a close, you will discover yet another side of Edinburgh as you adventure down underneath Edinburgh on a private underground tour of a warren of tiny fascinating streets dating from the 17th century.
