Set in an idyllic location you will discover a colourful and well stocked kitchen with inspiring views over the local hills. Ghillie will guide you in cooking a delicious feast (including local ingredients foraged from the surrounding hills) while you share stories and learn about the dishes you are creating.

Day 2 - Monday 8th April - Round of Golf at St Andrews & Afternoon Explorations

Today you explore the historic and world famous university town of St Andrews in the Kingdom of Fife. Recently remembered as the place in which the Prince and Princess of Wales met during their time studying here. However St Andrews is much better known for being the ‘birthplace of golf’ and today you will have the opportunity to tee off on a fabulous links course on the same coastline as ‘The Old Course’. Enjoy the history and coastal views of a superb round of golf and maybe a chat with the local players.

This afternoon enjoy exploring the charming and picturesque fishing villages along the Fife Coastal Trail with your guide. These harbour houses are now popular with artists and writers but the sea still has a heavy influence on everyday life for most people in the local communities. Sampling traditional fish and chips here is a must before your guide takes you back to your hotel for rest and relaxation.

Day 3 - Tuesday 9th April - Morning Hike & Afternoon Wildlife Boat Trip

Explore the atmospheric Glen Nevis at the foot of the tallest mountain in Scotland this morning. Walk along the dramatic gorge to reach the secluded but impressive Steall Falls. There is a notorious wire bridge crossing the water nearby, but most people are content to admire it rather than use it!

Late afternoon take a boat trip across the water, keeping on the look out for local wildlife. Seals and seabirds are almost guaranteed, but you may be lucky enough to catch a sighting of an eagle or a cheeky otter too.

I’m an enthusiastic and passionate cyclist and hill walker making sure my life and roles keep nature, fitness, family, and the outdoors at the forefront of what drives me. To guide and share the Scottish landscape is a privilege. The landscape provides challenge, excitement and creates memories. Cycling with steep crags hugging you from each side, walking through a remote Glen with big skies like an umbrella over us, listening to cuckoo’s and stags, these are moments we are so fortunate to experience on Scottish trips. It’s marvellous.

Most people call me Wally. I have worked as an outdoor leader since I was 18. A UK mountain leader and single pitch climbing award holder. I climb in summer/winter all over Europe and the UK.

My Kayaking began on Welsh rivers and surfing waves on the Gower and Pembroke coast and has now become a bit more sedate since buying a sea boat.
