Day by Day

Day 1 - Tuesday 18th March - Welcome to Scotland

On arrival at the airport you will be met by a private driver who will transfer you to your city centre hotel. Depending on your arrival time you can choose to relax at the hotel or head out to start exploring this unique city.

Day 2 - Wednesday 19th March - Exploring Edinburgh

This morning immerse yourselves in the winding cobbled streets of historic Old Town Edinburgh as you enjoy a private walking tour with an expert local guide. Discover the highlights of this unique capital city from the Palace of Holyroodhouse all the way up the ‘Royal Mile’ to the mighty ancient fortress which is Edinburgh Castle itself. Walk the ramparts atop castle rock and hear the tales of the One O’Clock gun and the stories of locals of times past. Your guide will leave you here so that you can spend as much time in the castle as you wish.

You then have a free afternoon to continue explorations at your own pace, pick up souvenirs or relax as you prefer.

Day 3 - Thursday 20th March - A Visit to Stirling Castle

Head North to the coastal town of Oban today with a stop en route to visit Stirling Castle. Perched high on a volcanic crag, Stirling Castle stands as a symbol of Scotland’s rich and turbulent past. With your expert guide, uncover the stories of kings and queens, epic battles, and royal intrigue. This afternoon, continue on to your next accommodation where you have the evening to relax and explore the town.

Day 4 - Friday 21st March - Coastal Explorations

This morning set out on a private two-hour charter, where your skipper will navigate the best course for the day, guiding you along the beautiful wild West Coast. Back on shore, enjoy lunch before exploring the charming harbour town of Oban with your guide—wander its bustling waterfront, savour the freshest seafood, and round off the day with a visit to the renowned Oban Distillery, where a guided tour and tasting offer you the opportunity to explore this iconic Scottish drink.

Day 5 - Saturday 22nd March - Over the Sea to Skye

This morning, head along the coast with your guide to Fort William before stepping on board the world-renowned Classic Rail Journey on the Jacobite Steam Train. The ‘Harry Potter Train’ will puff its way through beautiful scenery all the way to Mallaig. Here you will alight and be met by your guide. Before catching the ferry to the Isle of Skye you will have time to get breakfast provisions for your next accommodation.

Day 6 - Sunday 23rd March - The History of Clan Donald

Today venture into the landscapes of the Sleat Peninsula on Skye. With your guide leading the way, explore the hidden gems of this beautiful part of Skye—discover quiet beaches and take in sweeping views across the waters to the jagged peaks of the mainland. This evening, step into an exclusive after-hours tour of Armadale Castle, where you’ll delve into the fascinating history of Clan Donald and uncover the stories that have shaped this remarkable family legacy.

Day 7 - Monday 24th March - Exploring The Isle of Skye

Today you have a full day to explore some of the special corners of this magical island with your expert guide. You will be spoilt for choice with fascinating history and dramatic landscapes on offer, with routes through stark and unusual rock formations and sweeping coast and mountain views to enjoy in almost every direction. Stop to explore Dunvegan Castle, the ancestral home of the Macleods, before heading back to your accommodation in the South of the island.

Day 8 - Tuesday 25th March - Depart

This morning, wave goodbye to Skye as you head over the bridge back to the mainland to make your journey to Inverness for your onward connections.
