This morning, a private transfer will pick you up from your hotel and take you to Southampton Airport, ensuring you arrive in plenty of time for your flight to Edinburgh. Upon landing in this historic and vibrant city, another private driver will be waiting to whisk you away to your self-arranged city centre hotel. Once checked in, you can unwind and settle in at your own pace or head out to explore the captivating streets of Edinburgh at your leisure.

Day 5 - Saturday 8^th November - Exploring Edinburgh

This morning immerse yourselves in the winding cobbled streets of historic Old Town Edinburgh as you enjoy a private walking tour with an expert local guide. Discover the highlights of this unique capital city from the Palace of Holyroodhouse all the way up the ‘Royal Mile’ to the mighty ancient fortress which is Edinburgh Castle itself. Walk the ramparts atop castle rock and hear the tales of the One O’Clock gun and the stories of locals of times past. Your guide will leave you here so that you can spend as much time in the castle as you wish.

Late afternoon you will discover yet another side of Edinburgh as you adventure down underneath Edinburgh on a private underground tour of a warren of tiny fascinating streets dating from the 17th century.

Day 6 - Sunday 9^th November - Rosslyn Chapel - Mystery & Magic

Meet your experienced guide this morning and head to the enigma that is Rosslyn Chapel, made famous by The Da Vinci Code. Dan Brown called this chapel “the most mysterious and magical chapel on earth” and there are certainly lots of unanswered questions about this unique building. Originally founded in 1446, the chapel features intricate carvings and decorations which have prompted many different theories connected with the Knights Templar and the Freemasons amongst others.

Your afternoon is free to either continue exploring this unique city or just relax and enjoy your luxurious hotel.

Day 7 - Monday 10^th November - Exploring Edinburgh & Whisky Experience

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast this morning before heading out for a day spent exploring the beautiful cobblestone streets of the city at your own pace. Full of history, the capital is very accessible by foot. Wander up the Royal Mile, stopping to visit the architecturally stunning St Giles Cathedral, and enjoy panoramic views from Edinburgh Castle. Pick up a coffee and a pastry from one of the wee artisan shops, dipping into local galleries, cheesemongers and bookshops. If you fancy an afternoon with a twist, head to the Surgeons’ Hall Museums, which holds one of the largest collections of surgical pathology in the world.

This evening enjoy a unique whisky tasting experience where you will enjoy some of Scotland’s best Scottish whiskies, all while taking in incredible views over this beautiful city – a wonderful way to end your time in Scotland!
