Day by Day

Day 1 - Wednesday 5th November - Welcome to Scotland

On arrival into Inverness airport you will be met by your experienced guide, who will also act as your drive for most of your time in Scotland. Together you will head straight for Scotland’s biggest National Park, The Cairngorms. Sit back and relax as yo wind your way along the famous highland tourist route, passing rugged mountain tops, flowing rivers, and glistening lochs. There are plenty of great spots to stop off and stretch your legs to get rid of any lingering jet lag. The first true stop on your Scottish adventure will be a chance to explore the British Royal Family’s favourite holiday location, The Balmoral Estate. Spend some time exploring the grounds and gardens of the famous castle, and begin to understand why it is a much loved and iconic location.

Continue on from here to your accommodation for the first leg of your trip in the beautiful highland town of Braemar. Settle in and relax at the hotel, enjoying dinner in the restaurant on site.

Day 2 - Thursday 6th November - Exploring the Cairngorms

This morning after a hearty Scottish breakfast, it’s time to head out and explore some of the off road trails in your own private 4×4 off-road vehicle. Driven and lead by experienced guide you will explore some of the lesser seen area’s of the National Park, learning about the history attached to the area and getting a feel for sheer size and beauty of the region.

In the afternoon, it’s time to don your walking shoes and head out for a hike into the surrounding area. This time led by your guide, you will get a chance to learn about the fauna and flora that populates the countryside, and get the chance to climb high and take in stunning views. There are a plethora of hike options for today, so talk to your guide about how adventurous you are feeling so they can ensure you tackle a hike that matches your needs.

Day 3 - Friday 7th November - To the Shore's of Loch Lomond

Today depart Scotland’s biggest National Park and head for it’s first designated one, Loch Lomond and The Trossachs. Transfer in style as you board your own helicopter, giving you the chance to take in the stunning Scottish scenery from high above.

Upon arrival at Cameron House, take some time to relax, before meeting your guide and heading out for an afternoon hike in the area. You could choose to explore the coast line of Loch Lomond or head for some of the forested areas close by to your accommodation. You will gave the chance to chat with your guide about the options available to you.

Day 4 - Saturday 8th November - Stunning Views and Scottish Whisky

This morning head out with your guide and tackle a classic hill walk in the form of Conic Hill. This short walk takes in 350 metres of ascent, but rewards you with some truly stunning views from the top. Enjoy the chance to look out over Loch Lomond and it’s many island’s as you take a moment to appreciate the beauty of the National park.

Upon return to the bottom, it is time for you to learn about and sample some of Scotland’s famous whisky. Head to a well know distillery and enjoy an informative and immersive experience. You will learn about the process that goes into crafting this famous drink, including the chance to experience a tutored tasting of 2 drams of their whisky.

Day 5 - Sunday 9th November - The Capital of Scotland, Edinburgh

After breakfast, you will depart with your guide as you move on towards the final leg of your trip. On route stop off at the iconic Stirling Castle and learn why this famed location is so important to the Scottish people and why it acts a symbol of national pride.

When you have finished here, continue on for the Capital of Scotland, Edinburgh. This historic city will act as the final destination of your Scottish adventure and is the perfect way to round off the trip. Your guide will take you to your city centre accommodation before joining you for one final dinner. After dinner, they will bid their farewells as they depart, leaving you full of amazing memories and experiences that will last a lifetime.

Day 6 - Monday 10th November - Exploring Edinburgh

This morning immerse yourselves in the winding cobbled streets of historic Old Town Edinburgh as you enjoy a private walking tour with an expert local guide. Discover the highlights of this unique capital city from the Palace of Holyroodhouse all the way up the ‘Royal Mile’ to the mighty ancient fortress which is Edinburgh Castle itself. Walk the ramparts atop castle rock and hear the tales of the One O’Clock gun and the stories of locals of times past. Your guide will leave you here so that you can spend as much time in the castle as you wish.

You then have a free afternoon to continue explorations at your own pace, pick up souvenirs or relax as you prefer.

Day 7 - Tuesday 11th November - Depart
