Day 1 - Thursday 6th November - Welcome to London

On arrival in London, transfer to your centrally located hotel and take some time to relax ahead of your first evening in England. An unmissable destination for travellers, the capital city is an international melting pot that brims with culture, history and iconic landmarks. With a well-known and well-deserved reputation for an eclectic and globally diverse food scene, your dinner this evening is sure to be a thoroughly enjoyable affair.

Later, draw the curtains on the twinkling lights of the city to enjoy a good night’s sleep ahead of an exciting day of exploring tomorrow.

Day 2 - Friday 7th November - Exploring the Capital

After breakfast, head out to explore the city with your expert city guide. As red buses and black cabs trundle around corners, wind your way through the heart of the city, learning about its turbulent history that stretches back over 2000 years.  Make a stop at Buckingham Palace to watch the famous Changing of the Guard ceremony that dates back to the reign of King Henry VII before heading onto to the tranquility of Westminster Abbey to see where members of the Royal Family where married and buried throughout the years.

This afternoon you can explore some more of the city and the hidden gems only known to the locals with your guide or thread your way through a vintage market full of hidden treasures – from velvet hats to crystal pendants.

This evening, a special experience awaits as you head to the Tower of London for an after hours private tour.  Meet a Yeoman Warden who will escort you to the Jewel House for a private viewing of the Crown Jewels and the history of the tower.  A once in a lifetime experience that you will treasure forever.

Your guide will return you to the tranquillity of your hotel in the late afternoon to relax before dinner.

Day 3 - Saturday 8th November - F1 Experience and Climbing the Sky Walk

Your private transfer driver will collect you from your hotel this morning and you will head to the hallowed turf of the Tottenham Hotspurs stadium for a very unique experience.  Step behind the wheel of a bespoke F1 inspired kart with DRS at your fingertips!  Race each other for the fastest lap before celebrating on the winners podium!  Enjoy some time in the fan zone and experience the thrill of rewatching some of the most exciting battles throughout the F1 calendar over the past few years.

Later on, challenge yourselves to scale the stadium before stepping out onto the glass apex that is over 46 metres above the pitch!  Gasp in wonder at the breathtaking views of the capital and see if you can spot the landmarks you visited yesterday.  With a climb of 100 steps and an exposed rooftop walkway – this is certainly going to be a great end to your exhilarating day!

Your driver will be waiting for you when you are finished and will take you back to your hotel.

Day 4 - Sunday 9th November - Foodie Tour and Free Afternoon

It is time to set your taste buds tingling as you head off this morning to meet up with a local foodie expert who will take you on a tour of Soho or Borough Market to sniff out some of the incredible dishes and local delacacies that make up the eclectic London foodie scene.  From the National dish to dishes influenced by spices from all over the world, you’ll expreince a whole range of different foods as well as perhaps a tipple or two to wash it all down with!

Sated and satisfied, the rest of the day is free to explore under your own steam – perhaps indulge in some retail therapy or spend some time in one of the many museums before heading back to your hotel for one last night.

Day 5 - Monday 10th November - Free day and Sleeper North

It’s a totally free day today for you to enjoy some more of the city from the amazing museums and galleries to the lush parks and the vintage markets.  Enjoy an early supper in the city before returning to the hotel to collect your luggage and meet up with your private transfer driver.

They will take you to Euston station in time to board the sleeper to Scotland.  Lie back in your cabins and let the movement of the train lull you into a deep sleep as you journey from the bright lights of London to the Highlands of Scotland.

Day 6 - Tuesday 11th November - Unique Foodie & Whisky Workshop

Welcome to Scotland!  Your main guide, who will also be your driver, will meet you at the station this morning as you disembark the train.  After a reviving cuppa and a chat about the trip ahead, you’ll set off on the next part of your adventure.

Leaving the city you’ll venture into the whisky hills to a private remote kitchen this morning and spend a fascinating day in the home and kitchen of the charismatic writer, broadcaster and ‘food anthropologist’ Ghillie Basan. Set in an idyllic location you will discover a colourful and well stocked kitchen with inspiring views over the local hills. Ghillie will guide you in cooking a delicious feast (including local ingredients foraged from the surrounding hills) while you share stories and learn about the dishes you are creating.

After swapping stories and sitting on her deck admiring the view, it’s time to depart onwards to your hotel in the quaint village of Braemar where you can relax after a long day of travelling.

Day 7 - Wednesday 12th November - Meeting the Highland Coos!

It is time for the experience you have been waiting for – meeting the animals that epitomises Scotland, the hairy Highland Coo!  Head to a local farm and meet the farmer and her friendly herd of cows.  Enjoy a farm to fork experience and get up close and personal with these gorgeous beasts.  Hear stories from Grace about the life of a Scottish Farmer, how she cares for her herd and also meet her flock of Black Faced sheep.  Taste some of her delicious beef and enjoy a wonderful lunch full of Scottish hospitality before departing back to Braemar for the afternoon where you can either relax at the hotel or head out to explore some more of the local area – perhaps even popping into Balmoral Castle if there is time to see where the late Queen Elizabeth II spent her last days.

Day 8 - Thursday 13th November - Transfer to Gleneagles

It is time to leave the high peaks and towering Scot’s Pines of the Cairngorms today and head south to the Glorious Playground.  But first, one last amazing experience awaits.

Arrive to the sound of bagpipes drifting through the air as you make your way up the drive of Glamis Castle, the former childhood home of Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother.  Here you will be greeted by your expert private guide who will lead you on a wonderful and insightful tour of the castle, including into places that are not generally visited by the public.  Hear stories of days gone by and the history and heritage of this amazing place before enjoying some incredible tasty treats in the restaurant….the empire biscuits are a firm favourite!

Later on, your guide will drop you off at Gleneagles and say goodbye, leaving you to enjoy your last few days as a family and all of the amazing activities that this place has to offer.

Day 9 - Friday 14th November - Free day at Gleneagles

There are so many activities to choose from today that you will be spoilt for choice.  Perhaps you may wish to enjoy a family falconry experience or take turns on the archery lawn.  There are award winning spa facilities as well as the option to golf on one of the championship courses.

Enjoy the day as a family and end the day in one of the many delicious eateries on site.

Day 10 - Saturday 15th November - To Edinburgh

After a leisurely morning, a private transfer will arrive to take you to your last destination – the capital city of Scotland.

Arriving into Edinburgh, your driver will drop you off at your iconic hotel where the rest of the day is free to relax or set out to explore the town from the impressive Arthur’s seat to the tranquil Princes Street Gardens.

Tonight, you could head into the city to enjoy dinner at one of the acclaimed restaurants and perhaps find some live music to listen to with the locals.

Day 11 - Sunday 16th November - Exploring Edinburgh

This morning immerse yourselves in the winding cobbled streets of historic Old Town Edinburgh as you enjoy a private walking tour with an expert local guide. Discover the highlights of this unique capital city from the Palace of Holyroodhouse all the way up the ‘Royal Mile’ to the mighty ancient fortress which is Edinburgh Castle itself. Walk the ramparts atop castle rock and hear the tales of the One O’Clock gun and the stories of locals of times past. Your guide will leave you here so that you can spend as much time in the castle as you wish.

You then have a free afternoon to continue explorations at your own pace, pick up souvenirs or relax as you prefer, the perfect way to end your time in Scotland.

Day 12 - Monday 17th November - Depart
