During your visit to Threave Garden enjoy wandering through the meticulously maintained formal gardens, where vibrant flower beds and carefully pruned shrubs offer a feast for the eyes. Marvel at masterpieces by artists like Salvador Dalí, as well as exhibits on natural history and Scottish heritage. Following lunch, join a private expert Blue Badge guide who will take you on a tour of some of the most significant architectural and historical sites, which could include some of the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, one of Scotland’s most celebrated architects and designers. Visit The Lighthouse, Scotland’s Centre for Design and Architecture, to see some of Mackintosh’s iconic works and learn about his life and influence. Wander through the expansive grounds, discovering the beautiful gardens, ancient woodlands, and the replica Stone of Scone. Enjoy a leisurely lunch at the palace’s café before finishing your journey to Fife Arms.

An alternative to this day, rather than visiting Scone Palace, would be to make your way from Gleneagles up to the iconic Loch Ness to explore, before travelling south to Fife Arms through the Cairngorms National Park. This would be a longer travel day, but worth it if Loch Ness is a bucket list destination.
