Day by Day

Day 1 - Friday 7th February - Welcome to Scotland

On arrival at the airport, you will be met by a private driver who will transfer you to the Gleneagles hotel. There, you can put your feet up and relax, making the most of the on-site facilities.

Day 2 - Saturday 8th February - A Day of Leisure

Day 3 - Sunday 9th February - Atmospheric Glencoe

This morning, meet your expert guide, who will accompany you on the next leg of your journey to Scotland’s breathtaking west coast. As you travel through dramatic landscapes, you’ll pause in the iconic Glencoe, where towering peaks and deep glens tell tales of a storied past. Here, set out on a guided hike to immerse yourself in the rugged beauty of this legendary valley, with your guide sharing fascinating insights into its history and geology. After the hike, continue westward, arriving at your charming lochside accommodation in time to relax and savour the stunning views of Scotland’s wild landscapes.

Day 4 - Monday 10th February - All Aboard!

Ready your wands this morning as you step aboard the Jacobite Steam Train for a magical journey to the coast in the train that featured in the Harry Potter films. Puff your way through glorious mountain scenes and over the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct, hopefully with no flying cars though! On arrival at Mallaig you will have time for lunch and a wee explore before you head back along the coast a bit to Arisaig. Here you have miles of beautiful beaches to explore with your guide. See what unusual treasures you can discover before retiring to your hotel.

Day 5 - Tuesday 11th February - To the Heart of Scotland

Day 7 - Thursday 13th February - Picture Perfect Perthshire

Bid farewell to the Cairngorms this morning as you journey south towards Edinburgh. Weather and energy levels depending, pause in Perthshire for a hike at The Hermitage, where woodland trails lead you alongside tumbling waterfalls and towering Douglas firs. Afterward, continue to the picturesque village of Dunkeld, nestled on the banks of the River Tay. Here, take time to wander its charming streets, perhaps visiting the historic cathedral or sampling freshly baked treats at a local café. On arrival at your accommodation in Edinburgh, wave goodbye to your guide reflecting fondly on your time together and happy memories shared.

Day 8 - Friday 14th February - Exploring Edinburgh

The rest of the day is yours to continue explorations at your own pace, pick up souvenirs or relax as you prefer.
