Experience a trip to Oban, where a thrilling wildlife adventure awaits amidst coastal beauty and wildlife, keeping your eyes peeled for seals, dolphins, birds of prey and maybe even a whale. Don’t worry if you’re not sure what to look out for, your guide and boat captain will be there to delve into the detail. Conclude your trip in Edinburgh, Scotlands capital. Rich history, iconic landmarks, lively atmosphere and a couple of unique private tours promise to provide the perfect ending to your Scottish adventure.

Day by Day

Day 1 - Friday 20th June - Welcome to Scotland

On arrival at the airport you will be met by a private driver who will transfer you to your city centre hotel. Depending on your arrival time you can choose to relax at the hotel or head out to start exploring this unique city.

Day 2 - Saturday 21st June - Glasgow Private Walking Tour and transfer to Glencoe!

Explore the highlights of the city on a private walking tour with an expert local guide this morning.  Discover the stories tied in with the varied architecture of streets that have been home to all kinds of creatives over the years. See the influences of Charles Rennie MackIntosh and admire the popular contemporary graffiti murals tucked into unexpected corners all over the city. Your guide will drop you off at your hotel to collect your bags before your experienced guide and driver whisks you away into the Scottish highlands, driving towards the valley of Glencoe, home to some of the most remarkable views in Scotland, it is steeped in history and legend.

Day 3 - Sunday 22nd June - A Classic Scottish Steam Train Adventure

After a relaxed breakfast, head out towards Fort William and hop aboard a legendary Scottish steam train. With a warm drink in hand, sit back and relax as it chugs through some of the most stunning scenery of the Highlands. Cross the Glenfinnan viaduct (a location made famous in the Harry Potter films) which overlooks Loch Shiel. Arrive into Mallaig, where your guide will meet you off the train, allowing you the chance to enjoy views out to the famous Isle of Skye and some of the other small Scottish islands.

You will drive back with your guide towards Glencoe, stopping off to see the white sandy beaches of Arisiag, followed by the magnificent Glenfinnan monument, a striking tribute to the Jacobite Rising of 1745 where Prince Charles Edward Stuart, also known as Bonnie Prince Charlie, raised his standard, signalling the start of his campaign to reclaim the British throne for the Stuart dynasty., out over Loch Shiel.

Day 4 - Monday 23rd June - Wild Wonders: A Private Scottish Wildlife Adventure by Sea

Today, enjoy a private adventure by boat, where you’ll glide through crystal-clear waters to discover Scotland’s incredible marine life and get the chance to see Tobermory and the Lismore Lighthouse. This unforgettable wildlife tour offers a chance, to those that are lucky, to encounter playful seals, porpoises, majestic whales, and soaring seabirds in their natural habitat.

On the way back, stop off in the charming village of Oban and spend some time exploring the quaint village shops and restaurants – the town is often celebrated as the seafood capital of Scotland – so be sure to sample the fresh catch of the day! For your final evening in Glencoe enjoy tales of Scottish folklore with a private storytelling experience at your accommodation.

Day 5 - Tuesday 24th June - Journey to Edinburgh: A scenic drive via Blair Castle

After breakfast your guide will meet you at your accommodation and you will head out through the Scottish valleys on your way to Edinburgh. On route you will stop at Blair Castle, where you will discover the ancestral home of the Dukes of Atholl, exploring its grand rooms adorned with historic artifacts, family portraits, and exquisite furnishings.

From here you will head south, through beautiful Perthshire, passing rolling hills within this scenic Scottish landscape. Your guide will drop you at your hotel and say goodbye, leaving you with cherished memories that will last a lifetime. Depending on your time of arrival, you can get out and explore the city a little, or spend a relaxing evening in your hotel.

Day 6 - Wednesday 25th June - Exploring the capital of Scotland, Edinburgh!

This morning immerse yourselves in the winding cobbled streets of historic Old Town Edinburgh as you enjoy a private walking tour with an expert local guide. Discover the highlights of this unique capital city from the Palace of Holyroodhouse all the way up the ‘Royal Mile’ to the mighty ancient fortress which is Edinburgh Castle itself. Walk the ramparts atop castle rock and hear the tales of the One O’Clock gun and the stories of locals of times past. Your guide will leave you here so that you can spend as much time in the castle as you wish.

In the early evening, enjoy a unique and elegant whisky tasting. This experience will allow you to taste a variety of Scottish whiskies, with each one expertly paired with a canapé sized tasters of classic Scottish food to maximise your experience. This hour long session is the perfect way to end a day in the Scottish capital.

Day 7 - Thursday 26th June - Discover the deep, dark history of Edinburgh!

Step back in time with a private tour of Mary King’s Close, an immersive journey into Edinburgh’s hidden history. Explore the eerie, underground streets and alleys that once thrived in the 17th century, now perfectly preserved beneath the Royal Mile. Guided by costumed characters, you’ll uncover chilling tales of plague, murder, and mystery, gaining a unique glimpse into the lives of the city’s former residents.

You’ll have a free afternoon where you could choose to take in the many shops of Edinburgh and collect gifts and souvenirs of your time here, or go for a relaxing stroll around Holyrood park in the heart of the city. In the evening head out to one of the many restaurants in Edinburgh for a final taste of Scottish cuisine, sharing memories of your trip and raise a glass to the end of your Scottish adventure.

Day 8 - Friday 27th June - Depart
