Overview

Picturesque coastal towns and villages, green pastoral fields, soaring cliffs, wild barren landscapes, the crash of the ocean, the laugh of a local. Ireland is romantic, and authentic, a home away from home where both old and modern seem to cohabit seamlessly on a small island in the middle of the sea. Packed with history and tradition your days are spent exploring the island of Ireland’s famous and off-the-beaten-track sites of natural, cultural and political interest. A world-renowned food scene means your evenings are spent dining in style and with the promise of a pub just around the corner, music and laughter are never far away. Your trip to Ireland will surprise and delight you but the people of Ireland will stay with you, long after your journey has taken you home

Day by Day

Day 1 - Sunday 12th July - Céad míle fáilte - One Hundred Thousand Welcomes

Céad míle fáilte – one hundred thousand welcomes – to Ireland’s capital, Dublin. Upon arrival, a private transfer will provide a smooth journey into the city and onwards to the hotel. The rest of the day offers time to explore at a relaxed pace. Dublin reveals itself best on foot or via the LUAS, the city’s light rail system. Many key sites lie within easy reach, with the real charm found in the quiet moments between them – wandering cobbled lanes, browsing independent bookshops, or pausing for a pub lunch. The afternoon is ideal for taking in a few of the capital’s cultural landmarks.

Overnight: Dublin | Brooks Hotel
Room Type: Triple Room

Day 2 - Monday 13th July - Explore our Fair City

Start the day with a walking tour with a local private guide exploring this vibrant capital city, with its mix of 1,000 years of architecture from the mediaeval to Georgian to modern. See the Georgian-style Merrion Square, lush St. Stephen’s Green, Fitzwilliam Square, and O’Connell Street, the site of the ‘1916 Uprising’ that led to Ireland’s independence in 1922. Your guide is also a historian who will bring the city to life with colourful tales of life in the city in times gone by. This afternoon, you have many additional options for tours and experiences including a visit to Trinity College and The Book of Kells, 14 Henrietta Street of Kilmainham Gaol.

Overnight: Dublin | Brooks Hotel
Room Type: Triple Room

Day 3 - Tuesday 14th July - Dublin to Doolin

This morning, pick up your rental car and set off on an unforgettable journey westward through the heart of Ireland. As you wind your way through the lush countryside—past rolling green fields, stone walls, and quaint villages—immerse yourself in the charm that only rural Ireland can offer.

Your destination today is the picturesque village of Doolin in County Clare, a haven of traditional music, warm welcomes, and coastal beauty. The day is yours to enjoy at your own pace. Perhaps make a nostalgic detour to the familiar village of Knocklong, where you can reconnect with old friends and share memories over a cup of tea.

In the afternoon, we highly recommend a visit to the Cliffs of Moher, one of Ireland’s most iconic natural wonders. Towering 700 feet above the Atlantic Ocean, the cliffs offer breathtaking views that stretch as far as the Aran Islands and the mountains of Connemara on a clear day. Whether you’re walking the cliffside paths or soaking in the salty breeze, it’s an experience that will stay with you forever.

Overnight: Doolin | Fiddle + Bow Hotel
Room Type: Twin Room
Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 4 - Wednesday 15th July - 4x4 Experience on the Aran Islands

Today, visit Inis Mór, the largest of the three Aran Islands. Enjoy exploring the island with the aid of off-road adventure vehicles driven by your local guides, Padraig and Aonghus. Learn about the unique Irish culture, traditions, and language of the islanders, the beautiful flora and Fauna. This experience is unique in that it provides the opportunity to visit parts of the island not readily accessible to those without both local knowledge and a 4×4 vehicle, making for a very memorable day.

Day 5 - Thursday 16th July - Exploring The Burren

Begin your day with a morning hike through the Burren, an extraordinary and ancient limestone landscape in County Clare. This otherworldly terrain is rich in geological wonders and steeped in history, with remnants of prehistoric tombs and early settlements scattered throughout. Along the trail, you’ll gain insights into the Burren’s unique ecosystem and cultural heritage.

After your hike, visit a nearby perfumery where you can indulge your senses with fragrances inspired by the wildflowers and herbs of the region—an aromatic reflection of the Burren’s natural beauty.

Later, travel north to County Galway and check into the enchanting Ballynahinch Castle. Nestled in the heart of Connemara, this historic 18th-century castle sits amid 700 acres of woodland, rivers, and walks. Renowned for its warm hospitality, elegant interiors, and scenic setting, Ballynahinch offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature and Irish charm.

Day 6 - Friday 17th July - Roundstone Bay

This morning you’ll make your way to Roundstone Harbour to meet local man Damien, a fourth-generation fisherman who has been around the sea all his life. As you explore Roundstone Bay by boat, look out for the resident seals, dolphins & Basking sharks! You’ll pass by the stunning beaches of Ervallagh, Gurteen & Dog’s Bay as you make your way to the deserted Island of Inishlacken. With its panoramic views, picturesque unspoilt beaches & pristine waters, this deserted island is the perfect place to stop off for a bespoke picnic lunch!  Inishlaken has long been a centre point for writers, poets & artists because of its unique setting. A once largely populated island with its own schoolhouse & lots of quaint cottages, the population dwindled & the last of the island’s residents left for the mainland. But where man has left, nature has flourished and the island is now home to a large variety of insects & birds, rabbits, resident goats, sheep & donkeys.

Day 7 - Saturday 18th July - Falconry at Ashford Castle

After checking out of Ballynahinch Castle, we head east, driving through the vibrant city of Galway and onward to the picturesque village of Cong—the charming backdrop of the Oscar-winning film The Quiet Man. In the afternoon, we arrive at the majestic Ashford Castle, one of Ireland’s most iconic luxury estates. Here, we’ll visit Ireland’s oldest established falconry school, where an expert falconer will introduce us to the ancient art of falconry. We’ll gain insight into this captivating Medieval tradition and witness the grace and power of birds of prey in flight during an unforgettable hands-on experience.

The afternoon is yours to explore the magnificent grounds of Ashford Castle at your leisure. Take time to wander the 350-acre estate, with its lush woodlands, hidden trails, and tranquil lakeside vistas. The castle’s beautifully maintained gardens are steeped in history and showcase a rich variety of native flora.

For your final night, we recommend dining at your hotel, where you can savor a memorable meal in an elegant and timeless setting.
