Day by Day

Day 1 - Thursday 9th October - Midleton Distillery

Meet your guide this morning and depart Dublin and heading south to County Cork. Make your way to the Midleton Distillery for a small-group behind-the-scenes tour, where you’ll get an in-depth look at the whiskey-making process and the rich history of the distillery.

After the tour, take a bit of time to relax and enjoy the local area before heading on to Kinsale. Unwind this evening in this charming coastal town with it’s up and coming food scene and historic pubs.

Day 2 - Friday 10th October - Colourful Kinsale & afternoon golf

After breakfast, join your guide to meander through the bright coastal town of Kinsale. Historically a medieval fishing port, its spectacular waterfront setting and candy-coloured houses, shops and restaurants, make it a glorious blend of old and the new.

This afternoon, take to the fairways for an afternoon golfing on a local course.

Return to your coastal accommodation in Kinsale this evening.

Day 3 - Saturday 11th October - Exploring Killarney National Park

After a leisurely breakfast, head north into Killarney National Park – the jewel in the county’s crown. Joined by your guide, enjoy an engaging hike, relaxing with a picnic lunch and soaking up the beautiful views. Later this afternoon, visit Ross Castle and hear about the legend of O’Donoghue and his snow-white horse. Check in to your charming accommodation this evening, sitting down to a delicious, locally sourced dinner.

Day 4 - Sunday 12th October - Exploring Beara Peninsula

With peninsulas that stretch out into the Atlantic Ocean, old-growth forests and towering mountains, Kerry is undoubtedly one of  Ireland’s most beautiful regions. Join your guide today to explore its wild and contrasting landscapes. Visit the lesser-known Beara Peninsula, learning about its history as you hike among the old copper mines. As the golden evening light begins to slide across the sea, return to your lovely hotel and enjoy dinner.

Day 5 - Monday 13th October - Dingle Peninsula

Explore the historic Dingle Peninsula with a scenic hike through stunning scenery and incredible ancient monuments, including standing stones and beehive huts. Enjoy breathtaking coastal views as you follow parts of the Dingle Way and along breathtaking beaches. After a rewarding day of exploration, return to Kenmare to relax and unwind.

Day 6 - Tuesday 14th October - Hiking the Kilkee Cliffs

Leave Killarney in the morning and head north toward County Clare, enjoying the scenic drive along the way.

Lace up your hiking boots and with your guide head for a relaxed yet unforgettable trek along the Kilkee Cliffs. You’ll wander the cliffside paths, soaking in jaw-dropping views of the Atlantic Ocean. As you hike, you’ll learn about the wildlife, the geology, and the traditions of the area, all while taking in the natural beauty around you.

You’ll finish up your day in the ‘home of traditional music’, Doolin.

Day 7 - Wednesday 15th October - The Burren National Park and The Cliffs of Moher

This morning, head out to explore the fascinating Burren landscape – fissured plateaus of limestone and shale, vast in their captivating and barren beauty. Accompanied by your guide, wind your way over the stark rocky terrain, past prehistoric tombs and through wildflower grasslands. Later, visit the striking Cliffs of Moher, absorbing their majesty in a quiet, secluded spot away from the crowds. Home to thousands of seabirds, including razorbills, fulmars and puffins, the cliffs are alive with activity above the crashing waves far below. This evening, return to your hotel for a drink or two by the crackling fire.

Day 8 - Thursday 16th October - Local Farms & Galway

Immerse yourself in the charm and warmth of traditional Irish farm life. You’ll take part in a hands-on scone-making class, where you’ll learn the secrets behind crafting these delicious treats. Relax and indulge in a warm scone, paired perfectly with a cup of tea.

After, your guide will bring you to Galway city to bid his farewells, but not before arming you with plenty of suggestions for the rest of your trip!

Day 9 - Friday 17th October - Exploring Galway City

Day 10 - Saturday 18th October - Transfer to Dublin
