Mini Bio
Back in 2001, I gave up a career as a surveyor and co-founded Wilderness Scotland. Everyone thought we were mad at the time and they were probably right. We were, however, determined and incredibly enthusiastic to share our passion for Scotland’s wild places. More than two decades on and I’m proud to be part of an amazing team of individuals who are committed to providing the very best adventure experiences possible and supporting the environments and communities where we work.
I later helped to found Wilderness Ireland in 2014, Wilderness England in 2020, and now the Wilderness Group, which has been especially designed to bring Wilderness to our trade partners, from custom travel designers to tour operators and travel agents.
Favourite Place to Play
In Scotland, the North Face of Ben Nevis. A truly amazing and atmospheric place to explore in summer and winter. In England, it would be the Yorkshire Dales – picture perfect scenery, amazing bike rides and hikes and some of the best pubs you’ll find anywhere in the world.
Not a lot of people know this
I once beat 5-time Olympic Gold Medalist Sir Steve Redgrave. It was at Noughts & Crosses but they all count.
