Set on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, Grantley Hall is a magnificent 5-star luxury hotel and wellness retreat and offers a wonderful base from which to discover the hidden gems of Northern England. The hotel itself, a grade II listed home, has a rich 300-year history. It dates back to 1680 with former residents including royalty, Members of Parliament and even Dame Vera Lynn when the property was used as a convalescence home for soldiers during the Second World War.

Today the hotel has all the trappings of a grand country-house hotel with its manicured English Heritage gardens, multiple onsite restaurants (one of which is Michelin starred), stylish cocktail bars and state-of-the-art gym and spa complexes. The 47 beautifully appointed bedrooms show wonderful attention to detail and range from deluxe and executive bedrooms up to presidential and royal suites. The culinary offering at the hotel is no less impressive. The hotel’s four restaurants cater to a wide range of tastes from modern British fine dining to Asian cuisine.

Guided Road Cycle

Since the Grand Depart of the Tour De France held in Yorkshire in 2014 and recent British Tour winners including Bradley Wigins and Chris Froome, road cycling has never been more popular in the UK. Today with your professional road cycle guide (and van support) we head out to explore the Dales on two wheels. An extensive network of quiet roads offers the cyclist an amazing choice of routes, all set amidst the beautiful scenery of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. With a wonderful selection of rural pubs and cycle-friendly cafes en-route all the efforts are well rewarded too.

Cheese Making Workshop

The region is famous for its cheeses so why not have your clients learn for themselves by joining a one day cheese making course with a local expert.

Sheep Dog Demonstration

Yorkshire is famous for its farming culture and the sheep dog has been central to this for generations. Today we meet a local expert and one of Britain’s most successful female, sheepdog handlers for a live demonstration on her working farm in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with local culture and great fun for adults and children alike.
