Day 3 - Cycling in Killarney National Park

After a nourishing breakfast, head out with your guide to enjoy a day of cycling. Your route today is a fantastic one, taking you through Molls Gap (providing stunning mountain views) and the Gap of Dunloe. The latter was forged between the MacGillycuddy Reeks and Purple Mountain by glacial flows and is home to the picturesque Wishing Bridge. Later this afternoon, weave your way through the soft shade of Killarney woods and along the shores of a mirror-like lake. This evening, settle into a charming hotel which commands captivating views of the sea.

Overnight: Dingle | Pax House
Meals Included: Breakfast and Lunch
Ride Details: 50 km / 31 miles

Day 4 - Boat Trip to the Blasket Islands & Exploring Dingle Peninsula

Head out this morning for a boat trip to the Blasket Islands – a beautiful archipelago known for its rich literary heritage. Now all uninhabited, the last of the island’s community were forced to abandon Great Blasket Island in 1954 due to population decline and the fierce winter weather making emergency medicine increasingly difficult to access. Back on the mainland this afternoon, enjoy exploring the Dingle Peninsula with a visit to Gallarus Oratory, a 1200-year-old drystone oratory with a glorious ocean view. Enjoy exploring further along the rugged coastline, stopping by a local pottery barn before heading back to Dingle for some live music in one of the traditional pubs.

Overnight: Dingle | Pax House
Meals Included: Breakfast and Lunch

Day 5 - Burren National Park & Sheepdog Experience

Travel north this morning into Co. Clare and the unique limestone landscape of the Burren National Park. An extraordinary place, the dissolving of the bedrock has created sinkholes, sinking streams, caves and springs. Look out for wild ponies in the mountains and hairy cows on the roads. Once you arrive, meet a local farmer and watch his brilliant sheepdogs work the flock. Chat about this traditional way of life, learning about the time, training and knowledge that goes into producing a happy, working dog. After some lunch, head out with your guide for a short, scenic hike deep into the rocky landscape before travelling to your hotel, which has been welcoming guests since 1940.

Overnight: Ballyvaughan | Gregans Castle
Meals Included: Breakfast and Lunch
Walk Details: 5 km / 3 miles

Day 6 - Exploring Inís Mór & the Cliffs of Moher

Found at the mouth of Galway Bay, the Aran Islands are three distinctive isles that are a haven of traditional Irish language, culture and music. After breakfast, catch a small ferry to the largest of the three, Inís Mór and explore its stunning natural landscapes, ancient stone forts and rich culture by bike. Visit the breathtaking fortress at Dun Aonghusa, perched dramatically on a cliff edge, before venturing to the southwest edge of the island, descending if you wish to a limestone shelf overlooking an enormous rectangular blow-hole where the Red Bull World Cliff Diving Championship is frequently held. Back on the mainland this afternoon, visit the famous Cliffs of Moher before returning to your hotel to relax.

Overnight: Ballyvaughan | Gregans Castle
Meals Included: Breakfast and Lunch
Ride Details: 27 km / 17 miles

Day 7 - Galway Tour Food Tour

After breakfast, enjoy a day spent in the city of Galway – the cosmopolitan, bohemium capital of Ireland’s west. Colourful, picturesque and bolstered by a creative student population, it’s a vibrant, musical and engaging place to spend time. It also has a reputation for being at the forefront of Ireland’s organic food movement – which means it’s the perfect place for a food tour. With a chatty, local guide weave your way through Galway’s tangled streets sampling the culinary best of the west. Later, settle into your beautiful accommodation, one of the country’s most luxurious castle hotels.

Overnight: Connemara | Ballynahinch Castle
Meals Included: Breakfast and Lunch

Day 8 - Biking Connemara National Park

Today, join your guide for a classic ride through Connemara. Windswept and austere, the exceptional barren beauty of this amazing place has captured the imagination of writers and artists for centuries. On a loop that takes you around the Twelve Bens Mountain Range, enjoy following the wild shores of Lough Inagh and riding along the undulating ‘Bog Road’ that sweeps through the National Park’s lowlands. After a day full of enchanting views and fresh air, return to your castle hotel for a delicious dinner and a well-earned nip.

Overnight: Connemara | Ballynahinch Castle
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Ride Details: 40 km / 25 miles

Day 9 - Travel to Dublin

Leaving the West Coast behind this morning, travel back to Dublin and check into your city centre hotel for the final two nights of your adventure. Providing the perfect base to explore Ireland’s capital city, step out the door and into the bustling colourful streets. After you’re settled, say goodbye to your guides, who will ensure you’ve got everything you need to make the most of your next two days of exploring. This afternoon, you may like to visit the iconic Guinness Storehouse and the Jameson Distillery, wander through lively Grafton Street and Temple Bar, and perhaps finish with a lovely meal in one of the award-winning restaurants.

Day 10 - Walking Tour & Free Afternoon

Head out this morning to explore Dublin. Described as the ‘city with a village feel’, it is best explored on foot or by using public transport such as the LUAS, the light rail system. Start your day by meeting a local historian and guide in the lobby of your hotel and set out for an insider’s walking tour of the city. Discover the story behind the Book of Kells, hear tales of Ireland’s fight for independence, and learn more about the Potato Famine. After lunch, enjoy a free afternoon. Perhaps head to Phoenix Park, where you’ll be able to pick up some bikes and explore the park on two wheels.
